I am currently studying Graphic Design in California State University, East Bay. I am passionate about it because of how it combines fun pictures and storytelling that allows the visual tastes and work of both the artist(s) and their clients shine.
My work aims to combine my love of illustration, writing, and motion graphics to create something unique, yet straightforward for general audiences.
Self-Affinity is my Typography II final in which I designed a personal font called “Self-Affinity.” Self-Affinity is a medieval-styled typeface with a mirror theme with the intention of inspiring users to be their true selves.
“Sunbaked Space” was a restaurant menu-themed project for my “Design for Production” course. The purpose of the project was to study real-life menus, the elements they contain from text layout versus surrounding graphics, and how to format them into printer spreads.
This is another example of my interactive slide deck creations. This time, it is a Style Guide for a fictional gardening company called Muraled Meadows.
Muraled Meadows is a gardening company which aims to give clients elegant flower arrangements based on the flower language.
In addition to my main Graphic Design major work, I also took Motion Graphics as part of my “Advanced Art Elective” requirement.
While my main focus is branding, illustration, and storytelling, I signed up for this class because animation has been a major influence on my creative juices. It helps bring my designs to life, and gives a much more interactive experience to those who view it.
I hope in the future that I can utilize this skill for commercial work.
This is my final project for Motion Graphics I. My class and I were prompted to research a topic of our choice to communicate a message of sorts and with a specific target audience in mind. Mine was Peer Pressure.
