University Honors Program Contracts

The University Honors Program was a set special courses I took during my time as a student in California State University, East Bay. To pass these courses, I was required to work with my professors to complete three unique projects outside of the East Bay's Graphic Design curriculum known as Honors Contracts.

The Honors Contracts allowed me to expand my design and storytelling skills further than what was already offered in my major. They also prompted me to also improve my time-management skills when deadlines approach, as well as exercise my communication skills as I collaborate with my professors to make these ideas come to life as if they were real client projects.

Contract #1: Una the Sheep Picture Book

This is my original Children's Picture Book. This was my first contract project completed for the University Honors Program in California State University, East Bay. This was completed alongside my 2D Processes (ART 102) professor, Amy Diaz-Infante Siqueiros.

Contract #2: Why Join the University Honors Program (UHP)?

These are promotional materials I created on Adobe Illustrator to promote the University Honors Program at California State University, East Bay. This was used as my second contract project for the program of the same name. This time, I worked alongside two professors: my Typography I (ART 330) professor, Ian Taylor, and the University Honor Program Director, Dr. Arnab Mukherjea.

Contract #3: Artz Magazine

This is my final contract project called Artz. This is a creative-arts themed magazine targeted at youth ages 6-17 years. I worked alongside my Typography II (ART 430) professor, Zach Clark, to make this project a reality.

This project was inspired by my love of reading magazines during my adolescent years, as well as a booklet project I did in Professor Zach’s class.
